General Relief Society choir

Last Saturday I got to sing in the choir at the General Relief Society Meeting.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little glad to have it behind me. Truthfully, I am so grateful to have been a part of it, but I will thoroughly enjoy my now practice-free Saturdays and Sunday afternoons. Here were some of the highlights, in no particular order:
1. Sitting behind the prophet during the meeting and feeling his power.
2. Sister Wadley, our director, and her incredible sense of humor and powerful testimony (she played the lady with the abusive husband in 17 Miracles if you saw that).
3. Brushing up on my musical abilities, which had been in hibernation for about a decade.
4. Getting to know the sisters in my ward who sang with me a lot better.
5. Hearing from the General Relief Society presidency in such a small, intimate setting.
6. Remembering how terrible school buses are and being grateful I no longer ride them daily.
7. Renewed gratitude that I don't have to wear nylons on a daily basis.
8. Having so much time to ponder the words of the hymns we sang and strengthen my testimony and gratitude to live in the fullness of times and be able to enjoy the resorted gospel on the earth.
